What People Say About Steve

I wanted to thank you for your excellent instruction. I feel I learned a lot. My navigation skills significantly improved. As a result I kayaked the rest of the week (including some foggy days with no GPS).
The open water crossing was exactly the experience I was looking for, although I would not do that distance on my own, it has put the shorter crossings in perspective. I continued to work on my strokes- I thought I had the power stroke OK- now I see it needs some work.
Best wishes.

I was in your recent 5* training in Tybee
Island. You gave me some critique on my surfing that, at the time I
didn't necessary agree with. Coming from the West Coast and spending as
much time as I do in the ocean surf I thought I was fairly competent.
However, since the training I considered your critique and have been
applying what you said to a great deal of improvement. While surfing, I
work from the front of the boat and try to only use stern rudders if I
want to brake. I am finding I get longer rides and better control.
Thanks again.

The apparent ease with which you run your class and the quality of the information both reflect your experience and dedication to your profession. I know you would probably prefer not to have complements but you have to give credit where credit is due.
I look forward to the next one.
